How to Find Precinct Galleries

Precinct Galleries is located in the main shopping block, on Alexandra Street, at Berry, South of Sydney.

By car we are about 1.5 to 2 hours drive from Sydney and about 3 hours from Canberra (via the Illawarra Highway).

By train the journey is a bit longer (about 3 hours from Central). The South Coast line runs through the Royal National Park (the oldest national park in the world). You will change trains at Kiama (same platform). After Kiama you'll be traveling on some real historic rail systems - single line working with electric staff. The countryside is beautiful as you race in your little train between the seaside and the escarpments. Alight at Berry and walk along Alexandra Street. (The wonderful lemon smell near the station comes from a stand of old lemon gums planted in commemoration of Australians lost at war). Cross Queen Street and you're almost there.

Look out for the old building with a veranda onto the street. It's painted the colour of the Illawarra flame tree (red/orange) with a dark purple shopfront.

Inside is the "Flying Pig" - a sculpture by artist Daniel Jenkins.
